The annual Sun Peaks Wine and Dine is a great way to ease into the Winter Okanagan Wine Festival. Select restaurants at Sun Peaks are proud to feature uniquely designed menu’s paired with British Columbian wines. If you aren’t familiar with the wines of the Okanagan Valley or the culinary talents of the chefs at Sun Peaks, the food and wine pairings will help you recognize why the Okanagan Valley was voted #2 wine tourism region in the world by USA Today. Sun Peaks Wine and Dine is held nightly and advance tickets are not required, however restaurant reservations are highly recommended.  Visit any participating restaurant to see their Wine and Dine menu and let your senses guide you to a wonderful food and wine pairing.

Introducing the 1st ever Sun Peaks Wine Crawl. Designed to appeal to a younger crowd who love snacks and value priced wines, the Sun Peaks Wine Crawl allows you to wander from the bottom to the top of the village and back where different types of snack foods are paired with British Columbia wines under $25. Who likes chips? Cheesies? Popcorn? Trail mix? Dried Fruits? Canadian Cheese? At each location, a different snack theme is paired with wines and set to a musical theme. Pop music with popcorn. Country music with chips; or experience something folksy with cheese, trail mix and dried fruits. And in between your snacking and sipping, outdoor games abound and the Mulled Wine and Hot Apple Cider tent will provide a warm respite from the frosty evening.

This original après ski event has made waves around the world. We are pleased to announce the return of the Comforts of Grilled Cheese and Wine to a new venue this year – Powder Hounds Restaurant. Join David Beaudoin, the Cheese poet of British Columbia and 8 different wineries to devour artisan grilled cheese sandwiches paired with British Columbia wines. Eight different and memorable Canadian grilled cheese sandwiches are served with 2 wines for each sandwich to allow to taste and compare different varietals and blends from the Okanagan Valley. After you have a restful sleep at Sun Peaks, come and join us for the 3rd annual Starbucks Sparkling brunch.  Starbucks Canada will present French presses of four fabulous coffees paired with four British Columbian sparkling wines. Kevin Tessier, Proprietor of the Voyageur Bistro will complement your coffee and wine with a delightful small plate brunch while you discover how well coffee and wine actually pair. This is an educational event so it will start promptly at 10:30am and we request everyone be on time because great coffee and sparkling wines can’t be left waiting.

The Voyageur Bistro and Dairy Farmers of Canada are pleased to host their 1st celebration of the famous “runners of the woods” or Coureur de Bois. These early independent entrepreneurial French-Canadian woodsman traveled in New France and the interior of North America come back in spirit for this wonderful dinner. Join Okanagan Crush Pad from Summerland, British Columbia and be introduced to blending your own wine! You will start with a tasting of single varietals. Once your senses are awakened, participants will be grouped into winemaking teams to experience the joy of blending wines.
